As this relates to product evaluation, we specifically look for the following: Style, durability, least toxic alternative, recycled content, recyclability, rapidly-renewable content, least embodied energy, local manufacturing, least transportation, third-party green certifications, potential to conserve energy & water and manufacturer's ability to perform. As this all involves trade-offs, we try to strike the best balance between our criteria and use threshold standards to offer the best product to our customers for a given function.
